eastern university Filmability - Thetford B

A film made by a group on a WEA film-making course called "Filmability". Course members were unemployed people nominated by Job Centre Plus at Thetford, Norfolk. All were first-time film-makers with no previous experience of creating a film. The purpose of the exercise was to improve self-confidence and self-esteem through the film-making process. Students were divided into two groups and, with the help of their tutors, set the task of giving a brief history of Thetford. This film is what "Group B" produced. Two of the group's three members had severe hearing difficulties, so the use of sub-titles seemed a natural choice!
